Having obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Northumbria University in Newcastle, UK Greg chose to return home to Aberdeen in the North East of Scotland, taking a job in business development with an oil service company. Working for a relatively small firm, Greg was exposed to several aspects of the business and it was through this diverse role that his interest in talent development, people, and expertise became apparent. He leveraged this enthusiasm in his next role, moving to London to work in oil and gas recruitment. In this fast-paced environment, Greg worked alongside a high-performing team to place senior executives and developed a robust 360 recruitment skillset. 

Later Greg decided to branch out, taking his keen eye for burgeoning talent and applying it to his lifelong fervor for sport. In joining SRI, Greg was presented with the opportunity to build relationships with leading sports & entertainment brands such as Manchester Utd, Formula One, and the NFL. Eager to take on the next challenge and with a natural curiosity for innovation within sport and entertainment generally, Greg’s role expanded to the world of esports. Greg played a crucial role in building out the global gaming and esports practice for SRI. 

Having immersed himself in the world of esports, Greg has tapped into what makes this expanding industry so special: captive communities, loyal fans, incredible games and unique live moments. He has carved out a role for himself as a custodian for the esports market, having built an impressive track record placing senior executives. Greg’s relationships span leading esports organizations in Europe and the US such as G2, Excel, and BLAST. All of his candidates have had a transformative impact on the market. 

A dual citizen of the UK and the US, Greg has always had ambitions of living and working in North America. Taking advantage of his passion for esports and the expanding gaming market, Greg was keen to relocate to the global hub of the industry and jumped at the opportunity to join New Level in California.
