Nate Clauss

I merged my career in recruiting with my gaming passion and now I get to help others find their dream role.

While pursuing a Political Science degree and playing poker professionally through college, Nate’s career started with an internship at an executive search firm specializing in aerospace and defense. After the internship, Nate was offered a role to head up research efforts for the firm. He was responsible for hiring and training new recruiters to join the firm. Nate, was promoted to Executive Recruiter where he worked with a variety of top tier Aerospace Companies (Raytheon, Meggitt, etc.) placing executives across the world.

Nate had decided that recruiting was his field of choice, but he wanted to closer align the companies that he supported to his own personal interests. Nate joined Riot Games as the first Technical Recruiter for the Esports Team. Nate was successful in more than tripling the size of the engineering organization before he was offered the opportunity to take over recruiting for the entire Esports Organization. Partnering directly with Esports Leadership, Nate led recruitment that included creative, engineering, broadcast, events, player management, content, marketing, business development, and all of the other great teams that support the Riot Esports war machine. 

In December 2017, Nate was contacted by PUBG to help establish their US presence. Nate was hired as Head of North American Recruiting, as employee #10 in the US. Within 6 months, Nate helped grow the team to 70+ in 3 different states. Teams established include Business Development, Marketing, Events, Community, Engineering, Art, and Content.

 

Seeking to fill the void that he experienced as an internal recruiting leader, owner Nathan Clauss started a firm that can truly partner with companies to bring passionate individuals into their organization. Having led internal recruiting teams at Riot Games and PUBG Corp, Nathan saw firsthand the lack of recruiting expertise in the gaming, esports, and tech space from outside firms. Nate believes that partnering closely with companies to understand what they are looking for helps him identify top talent that has aligned interests and passions.
